Each month the Retired Guardians Fraternal Association will SPOTLIGHT a current or former member of the association. It will give our members and anyone viewing this section an opportunity to learn a little more about our “spotlighted” member.

With your permission, we humbly and proudly deviate from our usual format and honor  and Spotlight Senator Barack Obama at being elected the 44th President of the United States. This Spotlight will replace our November, December and January Spotlights.

We will resume our normal Spotlights in February 2009

For our first Spotlight since the election of Barack Obama, we are extremely proud and honored to illuminate Brother William Caraway in our February 2009 beam.

Our April 2009 Spotlight is a reposting of the September 2002 Spotlight, in honor of the passing of Brother Stephen Black, the founder and chief writer of the section.

May 2009 represents our 75th Spotlight. The Retired Guardians Fraternal Association is extremely proud to place Sister Karon Richardson squarely in its’ beam.

For June 2009, we are extremely honored to shine our ‘Spotlight’ on our current Corresponding Secretary and Chairman of our Scholarship Committee, Brother Herbert Brown

As we resume our Spotlights for 2009, we take pride in placing Brother Pete Ahern squarley in it’s beam for October 2009.

For November 2009, we are very proud to shine our Spotlight on the current Retired Guardians Vice President, Brother James Diggins.

December 2009 represents our 79th Spotlight and our last of the year. The NYC Police Retired Guardians Fraternal Association is extremely honored to illuminate Brother Orville Moe.
