Brother William Marks

This month’s ‘Spotlight’ beams down on Brother WILLIAM MARKS. Bill was born August 15, 1937 in Norfolk, Virginia. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School there, then attended college in Petersburg, Virginia for 1 1/2 years.

Bill joined the Transit Police Department as part of the class of 600, in December 1965, and worked in Districts 1, 4, 22 and District 20. He retired almost exactly 20 years later in January 1986. Bill’s interests include Boating, fishing, traveling and restoring old cars.

A product of a broken home, Bill puts his highest priority in family unity, “keeping it together”! He has been married to Sandra for 46 years, a union that has been blessed with two sons, one daughter and five grandchildren.
