This month’s ‘Spotlight” shines on Brother CURTIS VINCENT. Curtis was born in New York City on February 7, 1940. He is another of our long list of graduates of Boy’s High
School in Brooklyn, New York. He joined the New York City Transit Police Department in August 1968. He served in Districts #32, #33, #1, Emergency Medical Rescue Unit and the Detective Division. During his police
career, Curtis was cited five times, earning two Meritorious Awards, two Exceptional Duty Awards and the Combat Medal.
Curtis has been married to his wife Charlotte for thirty-one years and they have one child. Curtis speaks with a lot of pride about his daughter, who graduated summa cum
laude from Syracuse University, earned a Master’s degree from SUNY - Stonybrook, and a Special School Counselor certificate from the University of Georgia. Curtis lives Winston-Salem, North Carolina and can be
