2012 Annual Address Of The President

Thank you for another great year. We had a very successful Mother’s Day affair, a very successful Family Park Outing, a very successful Bus Trip and an extremely successful Christmas Banquet and Souvenir Journal. All contributable to your incredible efforts. I say Thank You, Thank You and Thank You.

It seems to some extent the message we send is getting out there. We help other causes but we do also take care of business at home.

As we continue to enjoy life and get involved, we must try to reach out to the next group and have them infiltrate and cause an easy transition to the next generation of leaders in our great organization. We are really doing quite well, but the assimilation must happen. We should all do what we can to reach out to recent and not so recent retirees and make it happen.

Although we have donated to serious causes and taken care of our own as best we could, there are other very pressing situations going on around us that we may be able to affect. I speak of overly aggressive police practices in our neighborhoods.

Some may think it is a waste of our time to address something that has been going on for so long despite protests from many groups. But through the joint efforts of a strong coalition, and with the right approach, we may be able to influence guidelines so terminations can be instituted before a bad causes irreparable damage.
